Sugar-Free Maple Syrup
What companies make sugar-free maple syrup? I cannot find it anywhere!
In Search of Syrup
Your search is OVER! Sooooo many companies make sugar-free maple syrup. Typically it sits right next to all the other syrups, but if you don't see it there, check the diet aisle or wherever the diabetic-friendly foods are stocked. Here are a few SF maple syrups that I love...
Cary's - AWESOME stuff with only 30 calories in each 1/4-cup serving.
Joseph's - An excellent choice and just 35 calories per 1/4 cup.
Mrs. Butterworth's - GREAT, GREAT! And hers clocks in at 35 calories per 1/4 cup.
Log Cabin - Another delicious option that has only 35 calories per 1/4-cup serving.
A lot of people like Smucker's Sugar Free Breakfast Syrup, which has just 20 calories per 1/4 cup. I personally like the others better. BTW, when seeking out diet-friendly syrups, I recommend that you go for sugar-free ones that have between 30 and 35 calories per serving -- you get a nice size serving for a POINTS® value of 1. There are light (or lite, as they're sometimes called) ones that taste good but have about THREE TIMES as many calories. Then there are the SUPER-DUPER-LOW-CALORIE ones that have 0 - 15 calories per serving -- I'm not a fan of those at all. And if you need some delicious guilt-free recipes to go with all that syrup, click here for our blueberry pancakes, here for our cheese blintzes, and here for our loaded waffles. Happy syruping!!!
