This Week's 3 Things to Know…

The secret is out: Starbucks "Medicine Ball" drink has been added to the official menu, and we've got the stats!

Also known as "the Coldbuster," people have been buzzing about this secret-menu beverage for a while. And now Starbucks has given the people what they want by adding the secret sipper to its menu! The less-catchy official name is Honey Citrus Mint Tea, and it's made from Teavana Jade Citrus Mint Green Tea, Teavana Peach Tranquility Herbal Tea, steamed lemonade, hot water, and honey. A 12-oz. Tall will only run you 90 calories (SmartPoints® value 5*). Also new? The Toasted Coconut Cold Brew, with just 40 calories (SmartPoints® value 2*) per 12-oz. Tall!

Calorie counts are coming! Vending machines, menu boards & beyond...

It's finally happening: Starting May 5th, calorie labelling will officially be required on menus and menu boards at chain restaurants with 20 or more locations nationwide. Most vending machines (operated by companies with 20 or more units) are already required to display calorie counts for their packaged foods, but some glass-front units have until next summer to comply. We love getting the full scoop!

Put a kettle on: Sip your way to a stronger brain!

Of all the things you can do for your health, this might be one of the easiest and most soothing: Just drink tea regularly! Researchers with the Singapore Longitudinal Aging Study found an association between regular tea drinking (black/oolong or green) and a lower risk level for neurocognitive disorders, like Alzheimer's disease. That new Starbucks tea drink is looking better and better...
