Healthy Target Food Finds: Flavored Pretzels, Improved Meatless Nuggets, Soft Baked Bars

Feb 5 2025
When it comes to discovering food finds, we like to shop around. Today, we’re shouting out some terrific products we scored from Target, as taste-tested on the Hungry Girl podcast! Read up on these top picks, and then tune in for all the other must-know info…

Dot's Homestyle Pretzels Seasoned Pretzel Twists

1 oz. (about 15–16 pretzels): 130–140 calories, 5–6g total fat (0–0.5g sat. fat), 180–470mg sodium, 18–20g carbs, 0–<1g fiber, 0–6g total sugars (0–5g added sugars), 2g protein
WW Points® value 4–5*
We don’t know Dot personally, but clearly she’s the queen of making addictive pretzels. Her Original twists put her on the map, and the brand has been steadily adding flavors to the lineup since! We tasted the Honey Mustard (possibly THE best one) and Cinnamon Sugar (perfectly sweet & salty), and our minds were blown. There are also Southwest, Parmesan Garlic, and (brand-new) BBQ varieties! We’d use the savory ones as salad croutons and the churro-esque Cinnamon Sugar in yogurt. Look for them at Target and other grocers nationwide, or order from Amazon.

MorningStar Farms Chik'n Nuggets

4 nuggets: 190 calories, 9g total fat (1.5g sat. fat), 460mg sodium, 18g carbs, 2g fiber, 2g total sugars (0g added sugars), 12g protein
WW Points® value 5*
When we saw MorningStar Farms touting a new & improved version of their nuggets, our first thought was, “Why? They’re already great!” Then we tried the updated formula and WOWOWOW—these crispy frozen vegan nuggets are better than most fast-food chicken nuggets! The resealable bag comes with instructions for cooking in the microwave, oven, or air fryer, and we heartily recommend air-frying yours for best results. Pick them up at Target or other grocers nationwide.

Mott's Soft Baked Bars

1 bar: 110 calories, 5g total fat (1g sat. fat), 130mg sodium, 17g carbs, 3g fiber, 6g total sugars (5g added sugars), 1g protein
WW Points® value 4*
The applesauce people have made muffin-like bars… using applesauce! As big proponents of baking with applesauce, we had to check these out. And they’re really good! The petite soft baked bars come in Banana Streusel, Apple Streusel, and Berry—we tried the streusel-topped varieties and were very impressed with the banana variety in particular. No fakey flavors here! Perfect for a small desserty snack whenever. Available at supermarkets and Target stores nationwide, and online from Amazon (where we also spotted an elusive Chocolate Chip flavor).
