Next up, more bagel-inspired awesomeness! The chief complaint about bagels? Too many carby calories. But if you sprinkle everyone’s favorite topping over egg whites and cook them in a donut pan, you've basically got pure protein “bagels” crammed with flavor. Nothin' wrong with that!

#2: DIY Gummy Bears

1/5th of recipe (10 bears): 15 calories, 0g total fat (0g sat. fat), 12mg sodium, <0.5g carbs, 0g fiber, 0g sugars, 4.5g protein

We interrupt this Everything Bagel Fan Club meeting to shout out these amazing homemade gummy bears. They're like a cross between traditional gummy bears and itty-bitty Jell-O bites, and they’ve got NO sugar at all, hence the super-low calorie count. And it's fitting that this recipe came in at #2 for the year, because they require only 2 ingredients!

#1: Everything Bagels

1/6th of recipe (1 bagel): 155 calories, 0.5g total fat (0g sat. fat), 398mg sodium, 25g carbs, 3.5g fiber, 2.5g sugars, 10g protein

It made total sense that when we teamed up the super-popular spice blend with our super-simple 3-ingredient dough base, the recipe nearly broke our corner of the internet. It’s our MOST popular recipe of the year -- easy to make and impossibly satisfying. When you need a real bagel fix, this is the way to go. Bonus: Thanks to Greek yogurt, they have major protein cred!
