Healthy Air Fryer Cooking Class: Wonton, Gyoza & Egg Roll Wrappers
What Are Wonton, Gyoza & Egg Roll Wrappers?
⭑ They’re paper-thin wrappers that are typically made from wheat flour and used in Asian-style dishes.⭑ Gyoza wrappers are small and round. Wonton wrappers are similar in size but square. Use them interchangeably! Each one has 15–20 calories.
⭑ Egg roll wrappers are square and about twice the size of wonton wrappers, with around 60 calories each.
⭑ Look for these wrappers in the refrigerated section of the supermarket near the tofu.
Tips for Working with Wonton, Gyoza & Egg Roll Wrappers
⭑ Once opened, they’ll stay fresh in the fridge for about a week. Simply seal them in an airtight bag or container.⭑ You can freeze them too! Spread a tiny bit of flour or cornstarch over each sheet, or cover with parchment paper. Then restack, and place in an airtight bag or container. This will make them easy to separate once thawed.
