We're skeptical when it comes to coffee drinks that already have some sort of milk added... but
this one totally won us over! It's creamy and rich without being heavy or high in calories. And since it's unsweetened, you can add your sweetener of choice. Perfect over ice! Available nationwide (fridge section) at Whole Foods and Target.
Silk Caramel and Hazelnut Almond Creamers

Thank you, Silk, for expanding your flavor lineup! In addition to Vanilla, this almond-based creamer now comes in
Caramel and
Hazelnut. (We added a splash of the Caramel to the Califia Farms cold brew, and it ROCKED.) Find these in the fridge section of supermarkets nationwide. Prepare to have your coffee game changed for the better...
Starbucks Via Blonde Roast Veranda Blend Instant Coffee
These packets aren't new, but we HAD to give 'em a shout out. Why? Because HG Lisa uses them
every single morning to make her iced coffee.
This mellow brew is basically the best-tasting, highest quality instant coffee around. (Nothing comes close to Via, in general, but this one's our favorite!) And good instant coffee is a must for DIY coffee drinks and recipes. (FYI: The nutritional stats are negligible, which is why none are listed.) Find it in Starbucks stores, or order online --
via Amazon or
the Starbucks website. Because soon it's gonna be too hot to even think about brewing coffee...
This Week's 3 Things You Need to Know...
Snack warning: You may be eating TWICE as many calories' worth of popcorn as you think.
Huge findings out of Hungryland. As you may know, snacks like bagged popcorn often list the measurement for each serving as
about X number of cups; that's because the true serving size is defined by weight, which is also listed. We were skeptical of the generous serving size estimates printed on popcorn bags, so we decided to do some experimenting. We weighed out the official serving sizes for
several brands of pre-popped popcorn and then measured them carefully... The results? The majority were around
half the size that they should be. That means if you go by the cup amount, you could easily be taking in twice the calories listed on the bag. Try this at home and see for yourself. The takeaway: Weigh your snacks before you chew, or stick with pre-portioned snacks. BTW, one brand that passed the test with accurate info?
SkinnyPop!
Walmart to test grocery delivery using Uber and Lyft.
Imagine no lines, no carts, no attempting to wrangle your children and get them to behave on a Walmart run... The chain is teaming up with Uber and Lyft drivers to
test out a delivery system! It's starting out in Phoenix and Denver. In the meantime, check out
the online grocery pickup program -- pretty awesome!
Perfect Summer Cocktail: The Pink Drink Slushie.
How do you make the drink of the summer even better? Turn it into a cocktail! (If you're of the legal drinking age, of course.) We recently discovered that our HG
Think Pink Drink tastes
fantastic with coconut rum. Here's how to make a double serving of the cocktail variation... Dissolve one packet
Lipton Strawberry Acai Decaf Iced Green Tea Mix in 1/2 cup
So Delicious Dairy Free Unsweetened Coconut Milk Beverage. (These specific products are a must!) Stir in 3 oz. coconut rum, and blend with two cups of crushed ice. Pour into two glasses, and garnish with freeze-dried strawberries. Each Pink Drink Slushie has about 130 calories (
