2024 is just about ready to draw to a close (EEEK!), so we’re shouting out a bunch of the top new food finds that we got our hands & taste buds on over the last 12 months. We declared this the condiment of the summer, and we’re still thinking about it in December! It’s ketchup that, through the power of pickles and food engineering, somehow tastes just like a hamburger. Get a bottle and make all the healthy foods in your life taste more burger-y in one squeeze. Grilled chicken wrap? Yes. Scrambled eggs? More controversial, but we’re still saying yes.

This gluten-free fridge find is comfort food at its finest, and since we’re finally into soup season, it’s the perfect time to enjoy it. The cauliflower-based noodles have a flawless & satisfying texture, plus we love the rich-tasting broth. We like to enjoy a cup of soup as a mid-day snack, especially on a cold day, but you can also eat both servings in the pouch at once for a protein-packed mini meal. Mighty Spark Chicken Snack Sticks

We gave a mighty shoutout to the Teriyaki flavor before, but don’t sleep on the Original Sea Salt, Honey & Jalapeño, and Nashville Hot varieties. They taste incredible, and the keto-friendly sticks are free from soy and gluten (aka no unexpected add-ins) as well as nitrates and nitrites. (“What about nitrotes?” Don’t be ridiculous.)

There are Blueberry and Chocolate Chip versions too, but this Cinnamon Bun flavor is our undisputed favorite. And since they’re made by our health-conscious pals at Made Good, they’re also infused with vegetable extracts for an extra nutrient boost.

Finally, we couldn’t wrap up the year without giving one more shoutout to these just-add-water soup cups! Also featured in our Fan-Favorite Low-Carb Food Finds list, the low-calorie cups of shirataki (aka konjac and oat flour) noodles are great as part of a meal or as a hot snack. High in fiber, sugar free, soy free, gluten free, and vegan… It’s an HG dream come true! (Sodium watchers may want to skip this one or use only a small amount of the seasoning packet.)

Oh, yum yummy! Tomorrow is National Fried Shrimp Day, December 21st. We think that should include air-fried shrimp too, like this recipe encrusted with garlic-Parm breadcrumbs.
